Patient Accounts Specialist
We are looking for an experienced medical professional to comply complete and accurate data for inpatient and physician accounts to third party payers in a timely fashion. This is a great opportunity for you to get your foot in the with an organization that is growing!
Responsibilities include:
- Performs insurance/billing clerical duties, including review and verification of patient account information against insurance program specifications.
- Corrects all rejected claims from third party payers, corrects information and resubmits corrected claim.
- May resolve routine patient billing inquiries and problems, follow up on balances due from insurance companies, and type invoices to insurance companies.
- Records all messages from insurance denials and changes the billing to the appropriate payer
- Bills secondary payers from balances after primary insurance.
- Performs routine follow up on open accounts to reduce accounts receivables
- Handles all patient and insurance phone calls in a professional manner
