Job Description 

SCOPE:

Develops short-term strategies and goals for growth; implements short and long term plans and executes strategic integrated marketing programs to increase awareness and usage of US Oncology and BioPharmaceutical Solutions Group (BPSG) products and service lines within the biopharmaceutical manufacturer and payor markets, including Health Informatics, Market Focus, Market Research, Oncology University, OncologyRx Distribution Services, OncologyRx Care Advantage, AccessMed, and US Oncology Research.  Continually evaluates and recommends adjustments to marketing strategies and plans to meet changing market and competitive conditions. Provides marketing advice and guidance to the VP of US Oncology Customized Marketing Solutions and the Customized Marketing Solutions National Account Directors to ensure overall marketing communication penetration and sales effectiveness.  Focuses on the generation of new solutions/ services leading ultimately to new business development.  Develops understanding of customer/ market needs and recommends adjustments to product format to ensure success.  Supports related marketing initiatives within the BioPharmaceutical Solutions Group and US Oncology.  Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides sales support for development activities, including competitive analysis, objection handling, market knowledge, and product education and training.
  • Responsible for positioning and packaging the BPSG offerings and the related development and production of branded communication tools, including website, sales literature, client testimonials, premium/ promotional items, etc.
  • Develops detailed understanding of biopharmaceutical and payor markets and educates US Oncology stakeholders to ensure marketing and development success.
  • Responsible for the development of integrated strategic marketing plans including goals and objectives to drive product awareness, new business opportunities, and sales results.
  • Work closely with sales and management team to develop detailed understanding of sales support needs.
  • Works closely and collaboratively with matrix management team, representing each of the US Oncology and BPSG businesses, to ensure individual business growth success as well as ensuring each business is appropriately represented in integrated solutions. 
  • Direct supervision responsibility for Commercialization Solutions contracts MSAs, SOWs, and RFPs.
  • Responsible for developing comprehensive program for developing and increasing a deep understanding of customer satisfaction and customer retention.
  • Collaborates, as needed, with US Oncology physician services team to contribute to product/ service success in all customer markets.
 


Job Requirements 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree.  Minimum ten years progressive experience in marketing, development or communications, including experience with service line responsibility or launching services.  Knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or payor industries a plus.
