Job Description 

We are looking for an Information Assurance Engineer (either a Lead or Senior Software Engineer) to work at Red Stone Arsenal, AL SMDC Lab.

 

Lead Engineer

Provides experienced leadership in systems design, engineering, software support, and integration on all aspects of demonstrations and tasks.  Responsible for preparation of documentation required as part of the overall engineering or computer software aspect of the task.  Recommends changes to systems designed or being investigated.  Has direct experience in space and missile defense systems, military applications of space and missile defense systems, and ground operations.  Coordinates all changes of the systems design with the government sponsor of the item or system being designed or investigated.

Senior Software Engineer

Provides leadership in software support, systems design and/or integration on all aspects of demonstrations or tasks.  Is responsible for preparation of documentation required as part of the overall systems software aspect of the task or demonstration.  Works directly on complex problems. Recommends changes to systems designed or being investigated. Knowledge of space and missile defense systems and military applications of space and missile defense systems and has a working knowledge of ground operations. Coordinates all changes of the systems design with the government sponsor of the item or system being designed or investigated.

 


Job Requirements 

Lead Engineer Qualifications:

PhD Eng. or other tech. major + 5

MS Eng. or other tech. major + 10

BS Eng. or other tech. major + 15

20 Years Experience

Experience in systems design and engineering related to one or more of the designated space and missile defense disciplines described in 1.2.2 above.

Other:  Technical Majors include Computer Science or a Physical Science.

 
 

Senior Software Engineer Qualifications

PhD + 5

MS/MA + 8

BS/BA + 10

10 Years Experience

Experience in the design, development, and/or modification of software related to one or more of the designated space and missile defense areas

Other:  Degree in Engineering or Computer Science with experience in any combination of the disciplines listed in 1.2.2 above.

 

Other Qualifications:

Clearance: Secret ; BS Degree in IA Computer Science or equivalent, working knowledge of Army  DIACAP/CON, FISMA and DITSCAP procedures and IA Regulations. CISSP preferred.
