Job Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care, supervises licensed and non-licensed personnel as assigned in the acute care setting. Nurses communicate with physicians/director/charge nurse/co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatolgy. Nurses are able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally; is able to perform nursing duties in assigned department. IASIS Healthcare Arizona hospitals include Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa; St. Luke's Medical Center in Phoenix; and Tempe St. Luke's Hospital in Tempe.
Requirements: This position is scheduled for 72 hours biweekly (and has a guarantee of 60 hours biweekly). This position is a 12 week contract. The position may be renewed for a 2nd 12 week contract based on hospital need. Providing coverage to our sister hospitals (noted above) may be necessary based on census and scheduling variances. The weekend requirement is two weekends per month. Based on the unit need and time frame scheduled this position will be expected to work 1 minor and 1 major holiday. All positions require an active Arizona RN license in good standing (or a compact state active RN license in good standing). Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS depending on the department.
Looking for at least 3 years RN experience in a specific clinical area. The majority of our need is in CVICU/ICU & Telemetry. Other areas will be considered on an as needed basis.
Each hospital signs an agreement directly with the selected nurse for each position. NO AGENCIES!
Compensation: Compensation is hourly and structured at $40 hourly for DAYS and $43 hourly for NIGHTS (for Med-Surg, Ortho, Psych) and $45 hourly for DAYS and $48 hourly for NIGHTS (for Telemetry, ICU/CVICU, Cardiac Cath Lab, PACU, OR/CVOR, ER).
