Description
Goodwill of North Georgia, a 501(c)(3) corporation, provides job training and employment services to people who are having trouble finding work, want to change careers, or start their own business. With the agency’s support, Goodwill participants overcome employment hurdles caused by physical, emotional and developmental disabilities, limited job skills, poverty and other challenges. We sell donated clothing, books, furniture and household goods in 25 stores across North Georgia, and the proceeds help fund our mission.
 
Goodwill of North Georgia has the fastest growing retail program of all Goodwills in North America. Each year we serve more than 2.5 million customers and 1.1 million donors at our 25 stores and 37 donation centers

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Direct, supervise and manage a Goodwill Store engaged in selling new and used household items and clothing in accordance with established business practices as mandated by the agency’s policies, procedures and budget projections.
  • Must train, evaluate, and supervise all store personnel.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Associate Degree.
  • Five (5) years experience in management of 30 or more employees in food service, manufacturing, production or retail operation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and functional knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. with or without accommodations
