Interline Brands, Inc., a leading distributor of Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) products to the multi-family housing and professional contractor industries, seeks an experienced Cross Dock Manager to run its Golden Ring, Maryland Cross Dock facility.
This position Cross Dock Manager position reports directly to the Manager of Corporate Transportation & Logistics. We are seeking a self-starter who is resourceful, maintains an excellent work ethic, and is willing to be do whatever it takes. Must be an effective manager of human resources, fleets and third party vendors. Candidates with Parcel and or Local P&D Operations experience are preferred. The successful candidate should be very familiar with terms such as Freight Lanes, Cost per Mile, Weight Breaks, Tariffs, Discounts, Productivity, and Routing as well as some of the software that is standard in the industry.
Specific responsibilities of Cross Dock Manager:

P&L Accountability
-
Create a monthly transportation cost tracking system to capture all incurred transportation related expenses.

Ensure Corporate Compliance with State and Federal Authorities.

Develop analysis and make recommendations to optimize operational transportation expense.
-
Interpret record, research Fleet productivity to collect and analyze transportation cost data.
-
Develop strong relationships with transportation, operations, transportation providers, inventory control, replenishment and finance departments to ensure that Interline Brands delivery standards are developed, measured, and met.
Qualifications/Experience Required:
-
3 to 5 years' Transportation, or Location Management experience relating to Transportation/Logistics
-
Familiarization with Local Pick Up and Delivery operation as well as working knowledge of UPS and LTL Carrier rates and operations

Excel Spreadsheet and Access Database creation high proficiency
-
College degree in logistics, engineering, math preferred

Demonstrated strong analytical skills
-
Sense of urgency and ability to follow up are critical skills

Ability to prioritize, get results and manage details
-
Proven initiative and idea generation skills (to use data, apply to analysis and drive results)

Demonstrated excellent PC skills for quantitative analysis and presentation of information

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution abilities

Excellent verbal communication skills

Familiarity with supply chain systems and tools
