Position Summary

The Customer Service/Performance Improvement Representative (CS/PIR) ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction by utilizing problem solving skills and Omnicare operating systems.  The CS/PIR will work closely in a team environment with the Customer, the Account Manager, the Billing Representative, the Pharmacy Coordinator and the Pharmacy Operations Manger.  The CS/PIR must have retail pharmacy experience or Long Term Care experience.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate and resolve customer concerns in a timely manner
  • Document customer complaints on appropriate forms for investigation and trending purposes
  • Function as internal resource for account managers and personnel
  • Respond to customer needs for information and problem resolution through interface with pharmacy operations staff
  • Explain available products to customers (Omniview)
  • Understand Medicare Part D guidelines
  • Assist other departments when needed with tasks such as pricing or data entry
  • Assist ream members/departments as needed in order to meet deadlines and/or complete projects
  • Working knowledge of medications (brand and generic)
  • Participate in Performance Improvement meetings
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
  • Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Job Requirements 

Education, Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret information
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all types of internal and external customers/employees
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Previous experience in retail and/or Long Term Care pharmacy is a must!!!
  • Laison between pharmacy and facilities
  • Considerable travel - Good Driving Record required.

 

Shift:  Varied hours, Needs to be flexible, occasional weekends and evenings. 

Reports To:  Operation Manager
