Company Overview

Over 60 years ago a federal cheese inspector named John Figi wanted to make Wisconsin's finest cheese available through the mail. He sent 1,500 postcards peddling his Wisconsin Aged Cheddar and received 43 orders! A great beginning! Just one small setback, John didn't have "wheels" to get his goods to the post office. So he borrowed a red coaster wagon from a friend... and used it to deliver all 43 packages.

That's how it all began. The young entrepreneur and wife, Ann sorted orders, cut 200 one-pound wheels and 70 one-pound blocks of cheese on the kitchen table, sealing it in cellophane heated on the stove, and penciling in the addresses. Dinner was usually perched atop the finest Colby, Cheddar, or Swiss cheeses packed high in the family refrigerator!

Job Description

This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Figi’s customers.  This includes answering incoming customer calls, processing order information, and providing timely resolution to customer inquiries.  This position also assists in coaching seasonal customer service agents to develop skills, and is cross trained to assist in other Order Processing departments if work volumes are high.


Job Requirements

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent.  Candidates must have exceptional customer service and communication skills, technical ability to operate various order entry systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.  This is a second shift position with work hours during the afternoon and evening.
