·        Must have experience as a logistics manager in the food industry.

·        Must be committed to the customer service, quality, safety and efficiency.

·        Must BE hands-on.

·        Must be committed to taking the logistics department to the next level.

·        A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in logistics management at the manager/director level.

·        Must be a person of integrity.

·        Must have credibility, energy, a strong work ethic, business savvy and is motivated by challenges.

·        Must be a strong leader.

·        Must be an excellent communicator.

·        Must have the ability to analyze statistics and other program data to set and monitor goal set for employees and supervisors.

·        Must understand and have a good working knowledge of government regulations set in place by (OSHA,FDA,DOT,ect.) the company. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively with government agencies as need to represent company business.

·        Must be a team-player and work to maintain a good relationship within the logistics as well as across departmental lines.

·        Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge as well as the ability to work with-in the budget set by company.

·        Must posses the ability to pay attention to detail.

·        Must be able to multi-task.

·        Must follow up and follow through.

·        Strong documented P&L experience.

·        CDL License a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Logistics department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, employee training, safety of all employees within the logistics department, cost management, understand and work within the budget set forth by the company, directing task and responsibilities within the logistics department, rewarding &disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems, managing subordinate supervisors &multiple employees in the logistics department.

Education and or experience

Bachelor’s  degree (BA) from a four-year college or university; or 5 to 7 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
