Job Description 

SCOPE:

Under general supervision,   initiates outbound telephone calls to targeted accounts to support Care Advantage and Oral Chemotherapy Pharmacy. These targeted accounts include affiliated US Oncology accounts, Oncology Pharmaceutical Services, community based oncology practices, hospitals and large academic institutions. Follows up with practices currently utilizing Care Advantage. Maintains contact records in the customer relationship management (CRM) database. Relates sales leads to OPS Development staff.  Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiates and executes outbound telephone calls to targeted accounts to increase utilization of Care Advantage.
  • Follows up promptly with any account needing information: brochures, appropriate contacts, additional follow up phone calls and/or emails.
  • May attend national conferences, representing Care Advantage/ US Oncology in a professional manner.
  • Works collaboratively with corporate office various service and division, understanding roles and responsibilities across entire division to coordinate increased Care Advantage utilization. Works with OPS Development to garner leads for each region.
  • Records customer contact data in CRM system, and posts call notes following sales efforts.
  • Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner.  Forwards complex inquiries to more seasoned coworkers; discusses issue and resolution in order to learn.
  • Other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor.
 


Job Requirements 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related discipline. This is an entry-level position requiring less than two (2) years sales, telemarketing or directly related experience required.  Proficiency with computer systems and MicroSoft Outlook, Office Word, Power Point, and Excel required.
