Berry Plastics' Rigid Open Top Division has an immediate need for a highly qualified Sales Representative to support our Western US and Western Canada sales territory.
The Sales Representative's key responsibilities include developing new prospects and interacting with existing customers to increase sales of our Berry product lines. This position is a field-based role that requires interaction with the sales management group, product development group, customer service and manufacturing personnel in order to service existing customers and build relationships with new customers.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- developing new business prospects through cold-calling and other methods
- developing and implementing selling strategies with customers
- interacting with existing customers to increase sales
- interacting with internal organizations to enhance sales prospects
- forecasting sales volumes based on current and historical order rates
- administration of pricing, quality issues/claims and reporting of such issues
- conducting in-field analysis between Berry Plastics products and competitor products
Postion Requirements and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures in a sales function
- relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- ability to multi-task
- 3 years of progressive outside sales experience, preferrably with a manufacturing organization
- excellent communication and team building skills
- ability to work cross-functionally to drive business results
- results orientation
- innovative, with strong change agent capabilities
- sales training experience a plus
- ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory
- proficient with computer office products
