ORMAT Technologies (NYSE: ORA) is one of the largest geothermal power plant operators in the United States and a world leader in geothermal and recovered energy technology and equipment. POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of Ormat’s diverse event schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Improve and manage our event schedule, budget, purchasing, data collection related to Ormat event, through the office of the Director Policy and Business Development.
- Create, maintain, coordinate and schedule approved Ormat events such as:
- National Tradeshows, Forums, workshops, and expos
- North America power plant openings and ribbon cuttings
- Local community outreach events
- Manage all aspects of the event
- Registration
- Invitations
- Sponsorships
- Booth and other rentals
- Giveaways
- Accommodations for attending staff (including travel)
- Collateral (coordinate with Marcom Manager)
- Event Summary with pros and cons of each event
- Purchasing
- Aggressively pursue savings and efficiencies in event purchasing
- Travel
- Must be in attendance of certain events, event preparation when necessary, oversight, and day of contact are essential
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Maintain our local tour schedule for the power plants
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
· A minimum of 5 years directly applicable experience is required.
· Intermediate competency of Microsoft office (word and excel)
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must
· At least one year purchasing experience
· Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills a must
· Ability to take initiative and be self motivated
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to travel across the US and internationally in the most efficient, timely and cost effective manner.
