SQA Test Engineer

Description COMSYS currently has an opening for a SQA Test Engineer with extensive prior Java development experience in support of a large Enterprise-wide healthcare project.


The position will be based in the client’s facility in Salt Lake City, UT, which REQUIRES that the appropriate candidate be agreeable to working in Salt Lake City. This is a 4-year project award that is one year into their timeline.

This position requires the ability to obtain an ADP II Clearance which requires US Citizenship or Green Card.

The consultant will be a member of a team dedicated to the analysis, development, and use of a large Health Data Repository that will serve as the authoritative data store for clinical data from client sites. Healthcare providers will use it to facilitate longitudinal patient-centric care, storing patient-centric clinical data in a computable format that can be used by other applications for analytical purposes.

Candidate will be responsible for the creation of test software which will be used by the functional test analysts to verify (test) the Data Warehouse software. This test software will be utilized across a number of projects in support of testing. The candidate will be required to assist with manual testing as required.

Requirements *Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience performing object oriented software development using Java.
*Experience with Hibernate 3.x, Eclipse, XMLSpy, Toad for Oracle, Spring Framework, and Maven.

*Follow approved executive directives, SOPs, and guidance documents in support of development and SQA activities.
*Be able to take manual test procedures and create software that automates the manual process.
*Be able to work with SQA Analysts in designing test tools that assist in the testing process and maintenance of the test environment.
*Be able to execute to a test plan using manual testing techniques when required.


DESIRED SKILLS:


*Experience with developing clinical applications and working with both development and SQA professionals is desirable.

*Technical experience, such as HL7 interfaces.
