BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for creating sales utilizing exceptional customer service and knowledge of La-Z-Boy products, strives to create long-term customer relationships that will lead to increased sales and profitability and is responsible for leading the part time team to handle sales objectives, store standards and other duties to run a world class operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Achieve personal sales goals by selling the furniture and accessories offered by La-Z-Boy
- Lead a group of part time sales associates to achieve sales, store standards and customer service objectives
- Responsible for opening and closing of the store
- Ensure that each La-Z-Boy customer has an informative and positive experience by using good customer service skills and knowledge of products
- Continue education of features and benefits of existing and new product line
- Accurately complete order information, collecting deposits and fees, keeping orderly customer records, researching customer payments and deliveries
- Meet established goals as set by management
- Improve self-knowledge, effectiveness, and efficiency through weekly meetings with the Store Manager with the emphasis on total customer satisfaction
- Assist with maintaining store cleanliness and the set-up of accessories
- Help to ensure proper pricing is displayed
- Maximize store promotions and marketing initiatives
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all store associates
- Proficient with company computer system
- Assist with the training of new sales associates
- Adhere to general store operational procedures and guidelines
- Other various duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Ability to deal with people at all levels
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to greet customers, establish rapport, and develop long-term business relationships
- Able to close sales, ensure scheduled delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Able to accurately complete related paperwork, including order entry, delivery schedules, customer records, and deposit fees (PC knowledge required)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the coaching and mentoring the part time sales associates
