Field Sales and Channel Trainer

Summary

Design, develop and implement classroom and virtual training for internal sales staff and channel partners to support the sales objectives of the organization.  Responsible for the development of channel certification and internal sales learning solutions to equip them with the sales skills, knowledge and awareness to meet sales goals. 

 

Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior management in sales and marketing to develop, deliver, and maintain all internal and channel sales training

Provide online learning for all critical knowledge areas

Track certification of global channel partners

Provide reporting and guidance to senior channel management team

Ensure DigitalGlobe global sales team and channel partners have necessary resources and tools to meet aggressive sales goals. 

Partner with business leaders and corporate functions to align training with DigitalGlobe’s corporate strategy and sales opportunities.

Create and deliver training for new product releases and enhancements.

Assess knowledge gaps for sales team and develop high impact, flexible solutions.

Travel with members of the sales force to assess sales skills and product knowledge, and provide mentoring and coaching as required.

Develop relevant training materials for internal and external audiences, to include online learning modules and sales tools.

Evaluate, assess, and continually improve the effectiveness of training.

Manage and facilitate annual sales meetings.

Requirements

Job Requirements

8 - 10 years experience in training field, with an emphasis in sales training
Degree in Business, MBA preferred
Proven track record of meeting or influencing aggressive sales goals
Well-versed in professional selling skills and terminology
Experience designing and delivering interactive training
Process driven with an eye on scalable, repeatable learning solutions
Proven consultative relationship building skills
Confident and well spoken in front of small and large audiences
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Experience with online and virtual training tool creation and delivery
Works with a sense of urgency
Team player who is able to work rapidly to develop effective training program
Works effectively with leadership team members, subject matter experts, vendors and across departments
