Description

Ct based non profit firm is looking for a Senior Healthcare Analyst.

 

This person will analyze, interpret, and report on complex health data assessing the quality of health care.  Candidates must have 5+ years of strong SAS experience and experience working with government contracts.

  • Manipulates large, complex health care databases and conducts analyses relating to the quality of healthcare.  Designs and creates tables and graphics that summarize these data to perform analysis on health care data.  Communicates the results of those analyses to research staff, project teams, external customers and others as applicable. This involves programming in SAS, SQL, VBA or Access, requiring comprehensive technical knowledge.
  • Develops solutions for clinical data needs through the design and modification of database applications.
  • Designs new and evaluates existing data extracts against business needs to enhance reporting and data analysis capabilities.
  • Delivers presentations on local or national level to external audiences

Requirements
  • Masters Degree in a quantitative discipline.   Doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics or epidemiology helpful.
  • At least 5 years SAS software programming experience is required; certification preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills:

-          Interpretive guidance on how to read and interpret data and data reports

-          Skilled at working with large, national data sets, some containing millions of records
