Clinical Application Analyst - Information Services
The Clinical Application Analyst has responsibility for providing functional support and implementation support of the departmental applications to enable the achievement of success in the organization. This will include training, documentation, creation of reports and data extracts using various tools, troubleshooting, testing and implementing new application releases, and maintaining system/application dictionaries, data integrity and assisting with security.

 

The primary duties of this position are: (1) performs application support by diagnosing and resolving issues, maintaining custom and package applications, and by evaluating and recommending options for improving system performance and operations, and (2) to evaluate, design, test, implement, support and maintain integrated and interfaced enterprise-wide applications and their functionality, (3) coordinating and performing analysis, design, development, and some QA testing, validations and implementation of applications, (4) to provide reporting services using desktop applications such as: Excel, as well as application specific report writers. This position requires 24x7 support.

Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related Clinical field of study, (equivalent work experience in information technology, minimum of 5 years, accepted in place of Bachelor's) and a minimum of one year work experience in clinical information systems. As a condition of employment, there must be evidence of progress towards attaining the HIMSS Certifications of Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS).

Required skills include:
Meditech proficiency (Order Entry & NPR report writing).

Preferred experience includes:
5 years' overall experience in an information technology support role for systems implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities is preferred along with a at least three years' work experience in assisting with multiple systems implementations, upgrades and maintenance activities concurrently.
