Field Service Tech I

Description GTECH is a leading gaming technology and services company. We currently have a temporary Field Service Technician position available in the Portland / Salem / Eugene area.  

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
Properly maintain and service GTECH equipment at Retailer locations. Responds to dispatches and drives to customer locations within his or her "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining GTECH equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner.
- Attend driver training and follow GTECH vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle.
- Maintain equipment to promote continuous operation of GTECH equipment.
- Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning and/or minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component.
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times and problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
- Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts such as paper, ribbons, betslips, etc. and track inventory of these items.
- Deliver basic training to new Retailers or refresher/remedial training to Retailers who may be performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
- Complete basic forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for improvements to procedures, etc.


Travel: Majority of time is spent in the field driving from one location to the other servicing terminals.

Physical Requirements:Must be able to climb a ladder, and the ability to lift and carry heavy equipment for a significant distance (i.e. from a parked vehicle to a point within the Retailer's location). Prolonged sitting; dexterity to work with tools; exposure to moving parts and electrical current; may work in close quarters.

Requirements Qualified candidates must have a valid ODL with an excellent driving record; be able to lift heavy objects; work overtime, standby, weekends and holidays; pass a security clearance which includes criminal history, credit history, financial and tax records; and have 6 months work related experience. Bilingual (English/Korean) a plus.
