Description Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Conducts high volume sales calls to meet monthly sales goals (largely via telephone)
  • Prospects and produces new business for assigned territory
  • Develops and executes sales strategy in an effort to promote professional liability products via the telephone, fax, internet, mailing campaigns, advertising
  • Customizes insurance programs to suit individual customers
  • Explains advantages, and disadvantages of various policies to promote sale of insurance plans
  • Ensures that policy requirements are fulfilled and the appropriate forms are complete
  • Utilizes Siebel and all other system capabilities throughout the sales process from prospecting to closing
  • Participates in departmental meetings
  • Builds and maintains customer relationships
  • Assists other reps when they are not available
  • Continues to stay updated by participating in extensive product training to increase overall product knowledge, system training, and pursues sales instruction/guidance, when needed
Requirements
  • College degree in a related field; or High School diploma/GED with 2+ years of sales experience & Property and Casualty Insurance License
  • Above average PC user skills and experience with MS Windows and Office applications
  • Experience with Siebel or other CRM system is advantageous
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License preferred
