QC Chemist

QC Chemist will be responsible for finished product release testing & stability testing of pharmaceutical products, including solid and liquid dosage forms. This position reports directly to the laboratory supervisor.

Hours are 1st shift, 8am – 5pm Monday through Friday. Job location is in South Fort Worth Area.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine wet chemical, physical, and instrumental assays according to approved test methods for the release of finished products.
• Perform stability study testing according to approved protocols and stability schedules.
• Perform routine performance qualification (PQ) of assigned instrumentation.
• Write up all testing in neat and legible manner in accordance of cGMPs and SOPs.
• Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and accountability.
• Able to follow safety requirements and willingness to learn new instrumentation/techniques.

This position requires a highly productive person in a fast-paced laboratory.

1. BA/BS Degree in Chemistry / Biology or related science field
2. 2+ years HPLC experience
3. Some GC experience
4. Experience working under cGMP conditions
5. Prefer pharmaceutical experience
6. Good problem solving and analytical skills
7. Good documentation skills
8. Ability to analyze data and issue reliable results
9. Ability to multitask, prioritize and be highly organized
