Expansion position - NEW opportunity for the experienced Oil and Gas Controller.

Corporate offices of an established and highly successful financial services company is expanding into the energy business.  While there are existing properties in production, the company has made a commitment to growing this segment of their business.  This is a growth position. 

Looking for someone who ideally started career in public accounting and moved into the energy, exploration and production (E&P) and perhaps even has some pipeline experience of at least 7-10 years.  In this role, you will have learned what accounting and ERP systems are best suited for an aggressive push on production by actively drilling in proven fields. 

You will not only understand the dynamics of the business but how to best establish new accounting standards, controls, financial reporting and financial controls to establish adequate records, authorizations of transactions and safeguarding of assets.

This position is responsible for the monthly reporting, account and balance sheet reconciliations and supervision of the accounting staff.

 Must haves are:

• Degree in Accounting

• CPA strongly preferred

• Substantial experience in a variety of accounting positions in the oil and gas industry
• Proven management and leadership skills
• Systems implementation experience
