BRANCH MANAGER
We are looking for a Branch Manager with experience in the Staffing Industry (ONLY EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED) Must have expereince with cold-calling and Sales.
Hospitality Staffing Exp a plus!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the effective and efficient planning and implementation of company policies, controls and compliance with applicable laws
- Responsible for the day to day operations of the branch, including personnel, financial, and facilities management
- Branch Managers must be able to work flexible and extended hours, including Saturdays and holidays as required.
- It is essential that the Branch Manager possess strong leadership and decision-making skills while maintaining unquestionable integrity.
- Branch Managers will report directly to the District Manager and in the absence of the District Manager to the Regional Manager
Benefits
Branch Managers receive an established base salary that covers compensation for all hours worked in a workweek
In addition to the base salary, Branch Managers are eligible to receive a bonus which is based on the productivity and profitability of the branch less charges assessable for shortcomings in their management of the branch
Required Duties
- Actively seek and pursue contractual relationships with potential clients
- Establish and/or maintain regular and direct contact with existing clients to provide and coordinate service as required and articulated by the clients while identifying and developing new business opportunities in keeping with the company’s principles regarding all aspects of sales, profitability and client service
- Conduct sales calls and visit potential clients as identified in classified advertisements and other related media
- Maintain client satisfaction with services provided
- Oversee all aspects of personnel management for the temporary workforce of the branch including recruiting, organizing maintaining, developing, disciplining, and supervising the temporary workforce to be assigned to the client clients
Requirements
Specific Responsibilities
- Administrative
- Anticipate new or changed demands for client service through the observation of trends in the workload, monthly sales figures, or companywide trends as well as marketplace and targeted industry dynamics
- Implement and ensure compliance with all approved policies and procedures and make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures to the District Manager
- Order timely supply of inventory of sales, marketing, advertising, business and office supplies
- Ensure accuracy of data to be reported and enter the data daily
- Audit the work orders to ensure client signature and total hours worked
- Prepare daily and weekly billing and the current work orders for morning dispatch assignment
- Procure all documents and information necessary for and coordinate the NTO process
- Keep records of all safety equipment issued and returned, and assess a fee for lost equipment
- Audit inventory of all work safety equipment, including but not limited to ensuring proper condition and function thereof
- Identify and resolve risk management issues as they arise, and be directly responsible for risk audits
- Maintain client and worker files and work cooperatively with the corporate office to achieve company objectives
- Conduct post-accident investigations and prepare reports thereof
- Coordinate business development opportunities with sales personnel
- Develop, implement, and maintain loss and fraud control procedures
- Maintain working relationships with local government service agencies and law enforcement personnel
Financial Management
- Participate in the budget process through careful assessment of the needs of the clients and their utilization of company services to determine the best allocation and utilization of available resource
- Manage day to day branch operations with an emphasis on increasing profits and minimizing losses
- Regularly analyze branch expenditures to establish expense controls
- Conduct, monitor and facilitate the proper payroll of the temporary workforce
- Negotiate and establish the clients’ billable hour rate per temporary worker based on the parameters provided by the credit department
- Establish the hourly wage for the temporary workforce based on the assessment of individual skills and work to be performed
- Ensure that proper industrial classifications (i.e., Scopes Manual) are assigned to all hours worked by temporary workers by, though not limited to interviewing workers as to job duties actually given during all assignments
- Accurately fill credit card orders and process transactions
- Manage and monitor profitability as it relates to client accounts and determine when to conduct financial collections of past due accounts
Personnel Management
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, appraising performance, rewarding, guiding, developing, and disciplining Assistant Branch Managers and where applicable, support staff and Company drivers
- Responsible for recruiting, hiring, organizing, apprising performance, rewarding, disciplining and maintaining the temporary workforce
- Ensure that proper hiring procedures are followed, including but not limited to compliance with Department of Homeland Security rules regarding worker eligibility and state-mandated background investigation laws
- Assess worker fitness for available job assignments
- Coordinate all transportation of the temporary workforce to and from the client’s job site
- Continuously supervise and monitor the service being provided to the client by the temporary workforce and determine when changes are needed
- Address and investigate client and worker complaints and work with the Human Resources Department to resolve complaints and issues as they arise
- Take appropriate steps to ensure a safe, clean and professional work environment
- Oversee light duty program for the Branch, ensuring that work assigned is consistent with medical limitations imposed by treating physicians
- Respond to and resolve all complaints voiced by temporary workers regarding safety conditions on client jobsites
- Ensure compliance with OSHA directives regarding generating employer responsibilities
