Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing daily support of programming for assigned stations at G.T.O.

 

Responsibilities

  • Inventory management – works with inventory teams to ensure programs and formats are maintained to minimize exceptions and are optimized to ensure the best possible service to the station group.

  • Programming – ensures timely completion of programming changes as prescribed by G.T.O. programming procedures.  Creates and maintains all programming formats for assigned stations.

  • Quality control – constantly provides accurate programming entry into Wide Orbit and evaluates station programming needs to insure maximization of revenue.  Cross-trains on other stations to provide back up for other team members.

  • Log preparation – ensures that all programming is accurate each day and all required criteria is in place prior to locking the log; works closely with inventory specialists and supervisor to ensure a quality result.

  • Customer support – attends and actively participates in weekly programming meeting held by each station.  Keeps in regular communication with key contact at assigned stations clarifying issues and seeking guidance to provide increased level of service.

  • Communication - works with stations and programming team to ensure accuracy of programming booking orders and requests; communicates with supervisor and manager to insure resolution of any issues and ideas; provides updates (written and verbal) to supervisors as requested; displays positive and pleasant attitude and seeks out ways to help team members; is familiar with assigned station’s playbook and verifies that these books are updated in accordance with G.T.O. policies; regularly contacts assigned stations to establish good customer rapport.

  • 1-3 years Traffic experience at a TV Station; College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Preferred Wide Orbit experience

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills and customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel
