Job Description

Regional Sales Manager - Fort Myers, Florida area

 

This position will have responsibility for  District Sales Managers, three depots,  Independent Operators,  and Route Sales Representatives.  Also manage all Capital Projects.  This position will work closely with Vice President of Sales on strategy, structure, equity position, markets share, etc. 

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Develop sales operations plans for sales territory ( region) in consultation with Vice President of Sales.
  • Build and strengthen customer relationships while anticipating and meeting customer needs.

  • Oversees the relationship between the Independent Operator/ Company Owned Routes, Distributor and Bimbo Bakeries USA.

  • Leads and develops the District Sales Managers in hi/her roles of managing day to day direct store delivery operations in addition to related tasks.

  • Responsible for  the maintenance of exceptional customer and trade relations.

  • Develops marketing plans in cooperation with the overall and trade relations.

  • Assumes responsibility for implementing special projects as needed.

  • Directly supervises District Sales Managers, IO's, RSR, and Bakery Outlet.

  • Liaison within the Account Management Teams that are aligned with core and secondary customers to develop promotional and operational strategies.

  • Oversees overall route operations.

  • Assumes full P&L responsibility for assigned market area.

  •  Additional duties as assigned.



Job Requirements

Regional Sales Manager - Fort Myers, Florida area

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • College Degree preferred plus 5 – 7 years of sales experience with a minimum of 3 years in a management role and project experience.  A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • This position requires the incumbent to have extensive experience and working knowledge of DSD operations.
  • Superior sales and management experience with demonstrated strategic sales experience.
  • Requires strong organizational, planning, negotiating and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent people and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, Word .
  • Must be able to manage/balance an extensive travel related work schedule.
  • Proven track record of effective leadership including people development.
