Wright-Patt Credit Union, the largest credit union in Ohio, is seeking candidates for an Accounting Manager position.  The Accounting Manager is responsible for maintaining all corporate financial records of the Credit Union. These duties include preparing timely and accurate financial reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and supervising accounting personnel to continually achieve process efficiency.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in the accurate and timely posting of general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, journal entries, the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, the maintenance of the general ledger and the preparation of recurring, special operating and financial reports.
  • Constructing an effective working relationship with external auditors and regulatory examiners.
  • Preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements.
  • Reviewing Monthly Balance sheet reconciliation’s, Daily GL Transactions, and A/P invoices for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring all taxes (excluding employee payroll taxes), are paid and returns are filed timely.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of two years experience in Accounting (preferably at a financial institution)
  • Previous supervisory experience  
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures and regulations that govern the accounting for Credit Unions.
