Human Resources Jr. Generalist/Compliance

New York City

 

A prestigious leader in the facilities and asset protection industry seeks experienced human resources junior generalist for compliance and regulatory responsibilities.  You will ensure that the Company is in full compliance with all aspects of the licensing and registration processing of security officers in accordance with New York State Private Investigators, Bail Enforcement Agents, Watch, Guard or Patrol Agencies and Security Guards Licensing Law. 

 

Responsibilities include:

Verifying information provided by new security guards, performing background searches and due diligence, ensuring training requirements have been met, assisting with fingerprint processing, photo identification and badging of employees.

 

Submitting all required documentation, forms and applications to the New York State Division of Licensing in accordance with procedure and deadlines. 

 

Ensuring that all security guards are in compliance with mandatory annual training requirements as outlined by the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and submitting training information to the DCJS.

 

Confirming that all security guards and support staff are in good standing with the New York State Division of Licensing. You will request and review records, and address all discrepancies.

 

Notifying NYSDOL when employees who separate from the Company.

 

Entering and tracking accurate information in the HRIS database for all licensing, compliance and training areas. Preparing and reviewing expiration reports and following up to ensure that the compliance area is met. 

 

Communicating information regarding training needs to the Trainer and following up to ensure training is met. 

 

In addition, you will assist with tracking various other licenses and training requirements, completing and internal auditing of I-9 Forms, personnel recordkeeping, preparing reports and other duties as assigned.

 

 

Requirements
  • You must have the ability and desire to fully comprehend the New York State Private Investigators, Bail Enforcement Agents, Watch, Guard or Patrol Agencies and Security Guards Licensing Law in order to perform your duties and responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, processes and procedures.
  • Exceptional organization skills and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 2 years human resources experience.
  • Confidentiality, discretion and integrity.
