Job Description 

Under general supervision, serves as the clinical resource and consultant for the acute and rehabilitative care of patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems (e.g. complex draining wounds, ostomies, fistulae, dermal ulcers, tubes, and continence disorders).  The WOC nurse should be prepared to provide the full scope of WOC nursing practice, including education, counseling, and research.
 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications: Licensed to practice as a registered nurse by the state of Michigan.   Graduation from an accredited WOC education program with CWOCN certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) within six month after assuming the position.  BSN required.  Two to four years of recent, relevant nursing experience preferred.
