U.S. HealthWorks offers a full array of occupational healthcare services to employer clients through our network of freestanding medical centers and worksites nationwide.

SUMMARY
Seeking a Full time LPN or Medical Assistant to provide nursing care services to clients.  Must have strong leadership skills and strong MA skills. Must have excellent IV skills, critical care experience. Fast paced environment. Team Player, willing to learn, experience in urget care setting. 
                                Hours are 8:30 am - 5:00pm
                                Will be working front/back office
                                Must be able to administer vaccisnations and draw blood

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Records patients’ vital signs, Dresses wounds.
•Applies compresses, ice or heat.
•Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
•Administers specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, and notes time and amount on patients’ charts.
•Administers pulmonary function tests, audiograms, visual acuity tests, phlebotomy, respirator fit testing, strength tests, and electrocardiograms, drug screen collections and wound care.
•Assists MD with treadmills.
•Administers Morgan Lens - fluorescein.
•Collects samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from clients for testing and performs Multistix test.
•Sterilizes equipment and supplies.
•Cleans rooms and answers client calls.
•Inventories and requisitions supplies.
•Maintains accurate, clear up-to-date records and assures confidentiality.
 


job Requirements

EDUCATION
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in Occupational Health is preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate; Audiometric Certification, Spirometry-NIOSH Course Certification; Breath Alcohol Technician Certification or Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
