Description
The Digital Strategist position within Blockdot is responsible for managing the creative and technical development of opportunities from Blockdot’s new business development group. This position drives the research, strategy development, brainstorming, and collaboration with internal production teams to develop branded entertainment concepts & solutions.
This position will drive the internal process from initial business development opportunity or strategically targeted client initiatives to the actual signing of Statement of Work contracts. This position is designed to help free up the Business Development Executives to make more calls and more in-roads into key Tier 1 & 2 clients for the organization. This highly detail oriented, sales engineer type position works with our internal teams to research, strategize, brainstorm, and identify all the key deliverables to include in both the proposal phase as well as the final Statement of Work phase for Blockdot and customer sign-off. The Digital Strategist will work with the Business Development Team, and reports to the Director of Business Development.
Responsibilities
§ Responsible for internal execution of the new business development cycle
§ Develop and maintain a clear understanding of the full suite of Blockdot services, industry trends, marketing and online strategies
§ Identify strategies and opportunities for expanding Tier 1 & 2 client relationships
§ Work with Business Development Executives on creative solutions for client initiatives
§ Coordinate detailed client research analysis, gather new business brief information, and bring to internal execution teams
§ Coordinate the RFP and proposal process for Tier 1 client opportunities
§ Drive internal teams during pre-contract phases including research, estimates, pitch materials, statement of work, and contracts
§ Oversee multiple teams and projects to ensure on time delivery of new business assignments
§ Assist in building a library of marketing assets and best practices for presenting Blockdot’s services
§ Accurately track progress of pitch team materials for key client presentations
§ Compile a repository of business development best practices within Tier 1 clients
§ Assist in the development of client contracts to ensure accurate and consistent execution and delivery of services in accordance with such agreements
Requirements
Qualifications
§ At least 5 years experience within a digital agency and/or casual gaming and/or social media studio
§ At least 3 years experience in a digital production role preferably as a Producer or Project Manager
§ Compelling presentation skills with the ability to interface with high level clients – agencies, executives, marketing, technology, and brand teams
§ Proven strategic thinker
§ Must be able to listen to client’s needs and understand how their needs can be solved using Blockdot services
§ Attention to details with the ability to look at the big picture to ensure the solution aligns with the clients needs
§ Energy and passion for marketing and the game industry
§ Deep understanding of the Internet ecosystem with particular focus on marketing, social media/gaming, casual gaming and branded entertainment
§ Great writing and communication skills
§ Mastery of Microsoft Office required
§ Natural team leadership abilities
§ Ability to multi-task and deliver on multiple project assignments
§ Bachelors’ Level Degree
