The Philosophy at Our School is All-important.

     At our school, we teach each Preschool, Pre-kindergarten, and Early Kindergarten child academic material through self-discovery, instead of through a memorization process.  Rather than using drill to force facts into memory, we guide children to think through ideas for themselves, -- BECAUSE IN THIS WAY, HE/SHE WILL REMEMBER IT FOREVER.  For children to really succeed in school in later years, the most critical thing to understand is HOW TO LEARN AND LOVE IT.  We teach children learning is fun and exciting, not just something they have to do.

     We have been successfully guiding children, in loving to learn, in our present location for almost 20 years.  Our school is a fixture in the education community.

The Position We Are Currently Seeking to Fill Is As Follows: 

o       Lead Teacher  This position is responsible for planning and conducting a preschool class for three and four-year-olds.   An associate’s degree in Early Childhood, or a degree in education, psychology or sociology is preferred for this position.  There is a requirement for at least three years experience in a state-certified classroom, however, the more experience with children and adults, the better.  The salary begins at $11.00 an hour.  The position is for part time in the afternoon, although there is an opportunity for subbing during earlier parts of the day. The position could begin immed.
About Our School

     Our school opens at 6:45 am, and closes at 6:00 pm.  Many children come in only for our morning classes.   Each morning we have one preschool class, two  pre-kindergarten class, one combination preschool/pre-kindergarten class, and one early kindergarten class.  Another preschool class begins at 2:15 pm.  We also care for a few children through the second grade before and after  public schools meet each day.  We have a student-teacher ratio of six or seven to one in our morning classes.  Children who attend classes throughout the day may remain in the school as late as 6:00 pm.    

     Our lead teachers do the planning and implementing of plans for the major portion of the classes.  Our assistant teachers do a little planning, as well as assisting the lead teachers.  All teachers share in helping on the playground and with other transitional activities.  

We have a close-knit caring staff family.   Everyone helps and supports everyone else.  We are looking for  new staff persons to have a happy outlook and low ego.
