Description

The Director of Community Relations is responsible for achieving maximum occupancy and total revenue potential of the community by attracting qualified prospects to the community (particularly those from professional outreach activity) and converting those prospects into residents.  Responsible for sales of one community, reports to the Executive Director. 

 

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the community compared to competitors and develops appropriate action steps to effectively sell against the competition
  • Collaborates with Regional Director of Operations, Senior DCR and Sales Director on Marketing Action Plan and Sales Action Plan
  • Identifies primary and secondary markets with appropriate sales strategies and tactics
  • Ensures adequate supply of marketing materials
  • Produces current competitive analysis every six months
  • Accurately maintains the community’s advertising commitments within budget
  • Regularly meets the sales standards
  • Plans and coordinates two lead generating events each month
  • Meets and greets visitors and tours prospects
  • Proactively identifies and pursues publicity opportunities
  • Conducts professional outreach for lead generating purposes
  • Maximizes all occupancy and total revenue opportunities
  • Gathers competitive market analysis data and maintains a detailed competitor comparative analysis (including rates, apartment sizes, services, and amenities)
  • Gathers Move-N reports for analysis and interpretation (to identify solutions)

 

 

 

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION

  

  • 3-5 years experience in sales and marketing, preferably in senior housing. 
  • Previous experience working with the elderly and/or disabled in a paid or volunteer position is highly desirable
