The District Nurse/Medication Assistant Supervsor (MAS) is responsible for the supervision of Medication Assistant Certified (MAC) staff who assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served by Volunteers of America North Alabama, Inc.  The District Nurse has additional responsibility for medical oversight of the facilities in the district including monitoring, visiting, training, etc.  Provides training , support and guidance to MAC staff and monitors staff and documentation in accordance with policies and procedures; serves as resource to management staff for individuals with extraordinary medical circumstances.  Position is for the Florence/Russellville geographic area.

This position requires the individual to have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and be licensed to practice nursing in the State of Alabama.  Experience in supervision and knowledge of intellectual disabilities is desired.  Position is for the Florence/Russellville area.
