Job Description


TitleMax, the leader of the title lending industry, is headquartered in serene downtown Savannah, GA and is currently seeking a knowledgeable and eager Controller to join our team.   The Controller will ensure deliverables in a timely and accurate manner with the ability to present in a clear & concise manner.  
This position is a key member of the management team and is responsible for all accounting functions and staff. 





Controller Responsibilities:

  • Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting and financial operational functions.
  • Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary to produce internal and external financial reporting on a timely basis for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
  • Provide management in the areas of accounting and finance in order to maintain adequate accounting processes, policies and internal controls to ensure complete, accurate and timely reporting.
  • Oversee the execution of the multi-state payroll and provide analysis.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly and year-end analysis.
  • Deliver financial information to Executives for short-term and long range forecasts.
  • Oversee the compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the coordinator and liaison for the activities of the external auditors.
  • Present financial analysis on special projects.
  • Hiring, training and retaining competent accounting staff.

 

 
Job Requirements


Controller Requirements:
          

  • Five to seven years of progressive growth in accounting management with specific experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller or Controller. 
  • Accounting experience within a retail / multi-unit environment is a plus.
  • Strong management experience with leading large teams is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required.  CPA or MBA is preferred.
  • Strong technical experience as it relates to Accounting / ERP systems. Great Plains is preferred. Strong Excel skills are required.
