Marketing Manager - Major Events Technology Industry

Job Description

The Mergis group is seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Marketing Manager able to break new ground in the online marketplace and supporting Major Events. Opportunity to work with a technology industry leader. If you meet the below qualifications please email with your resume.

Job Description:

Sponsorship and Major Events: Act as project manager for major industry events and tradeshows, helping to manage event messaging, demos, content, other client business groups involved, and overall timelines.
 
 Web presence:  Maintain content and messaging on external .com industry sites.
 
 Collateral and evidence - Develop external-facing collateral and sales materials including brochures, datasheets, whitepapers, presentations, and Silverlight demos, working with our creative agency and with internal stakeholders that need to review content. Manage case study development, working with internal contacts, customers, and partners, along with the creative agency that will develop these cases, overseeing the project management and timelines.

 

 



Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
- Marketing experience in managing events, collateral development, and updating web sites with copy, information, etc.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing communications, in the technology or online industries.


 5-7 years work related experience in a leadership role preferred. Strong project management and strategic skills required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must have the ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects. Must be detail oriented, have strong cross group collaboration skills, pro-active and managing multiple projects is a must. Must know how to prioritize tasks. B2B or B2C Marketing experience preferred. Marketing experience with high technology products preferred. Experience with Microsoft products preferred. Web/online (HTML/SharePoint) experience preferred. Master's degree in Business Administration preferred; Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required.
