The Baltimore City Teaching Residency (BCTR) is a competitive initiative of Baltimore City Public Schools that recruits, selects and trains outstanding professionals and recent college graduates to become teachers in the district’s most challenged schools.  Residents will become part of a cohort charged to raise student achievement.  Following an intensive, rigorous training institute, Residents will enter the classroom in August while taking classes to obtain their teaching certification. 

 

Residents receive a teacher’s salary, benefits, up to 75% subsidized tuition and the chance to make a difference in the life of a child – don’t pass this opportunity up.
