Energetic individual needed for our expanding affordable housing operation located in Central Florida!

About Us:
The Lakeland Housing Authority is a progressive agency with outstanding staff and expanding resources. We are transitioning into a private sector developer and property manager. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team in Lakeland, FL.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the hiring, transferring, terminating, and corrective action of employees

Providing the necessary employee data to Automated Data Processing (ADP)

Maintaining and updating personnel files

Maintaining company policy including communicating updates to employees

Maintaining and developing job descriptions

Responding to requests for employment verification

Tracking employee performance evaluation due dates

Coordinating on-site training

Assisting in the development of agenda for staff meetings

FMLA-tracking time and preparing documentation

Coordinating and organizing internship programs

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

One (1) year experience in Human Resources

Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

Compensation:

Starting hourly rate between $12.09 and $15.00

Part-time, 20 to 29 hours per week as determined by supervisor
