In this role, you will
- Define product and feature sets. Define product positioning, messaging, product platform
- Develop strategic plans and budgets for assigned product lines. Create detailed cost and revenue models.
- Evaluate results, analyze strategy effectiveness, and modify strategies based upon results, coordinating efforts and gathering information as needed from staff across the organization. Develop analytical tools to filter and prioritize ideas. Present product ideas to advisory team and seek input.
- Manage product lifecycle from new to developing to maturity.
- Identify, prioritize and maintain roadmap of key projects and opportunities. Conduct post-launch assessment of newly implemented initiatives.
- Recommend new opportunities through market analysis, industry trends and customer prospective. Define requirements for revisions and releases. Manage the prioritization and development of new product extensions and features.
- Conduct both qualitative and quantitative customer research to maintain a deep understanding of the customer’s needs and industry trends. Use donor feedback and dialogue to ensure product is competitive and meets the markets needs.
- Champion product and serve as a key company spokesperson and resource for competitive intelligence and analysis.
- Manage agency relationships. Work with Procurement and Contract Management to manage and negotiate vendor/agency relationships.
- Partner with department leadership to interact with senior level management in IS, IPG, VFI, Products, Portfolios, Channels and DE Ops to help champion new ideas and ensure appropriate size and scope of proposed action plans.
- Coordinate with internal groups (Marketing, IT) to inform product decisions.
- Communicate World Vision's Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others. Attend and participate in the leadership of daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
- BA/BS minimum. MBA a plus.
- 10+ overall years experience, including product management, product marketing or related role. 3-5 years product management, experience within a on-line environment preferred
- Experience with key product management functions, including writing requirements, roadmap, market research, competitive analysis, product planning, marketing concepts and proposals. Comfortable with short iteration (30 days)
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent written communication and presentation skills. Comfortable engaging and influencing executive level customers.
