American Sugar Refining, Inc. ("ASR"), is a leading producer of refined sugar in the United States producing in excess of 40,000,000 cwt. (2,000,000 tons) of refined and specialty sugar products. ASR owns the DOMINO® sugar brand, a nationally recognized brand since the early 1900s.
To troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and instruments throughout the refinery in the manufacturing of sugar. The position is a support position to the refning and packaging departments. It is required to work on low voltage controls as well as circuits to 600v. The position requires work to repair instruments in solids and liquids applications. The individual will be required to work on load and line side electrical components up to 4160v.
The skills necessary for this position include the following:
High School diploma or GED
Troubleshoot and repair controls wiring both 0-24 Volt and 24 - 600 volt.
Troubleshoot and repair load/line side electrical issues
Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate instruments.
A minimum of 3-5 years as a control technician or related electrical and instrumentation experience is required.
3-5 years of experience in industrial applications for the listed set of skills
Ability to work overtime, rotating shifts and weekends on a regular basis
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work as part of a team in a unionized environment
