Company Overview

The company was started in 1957 as Mobile Home Parts Distributors. Today it stands as the oldest and largest distributor to the manufactured housing aftermarket, with a total of 14 locations throughout the eastern half of the United States. The company sells set-up, replacement, and add-on parts and accessories to the manufactured housing industry. We handle general hardware, plumbing, electrical and repair supplies for manufactured homes including air conditioning, heating and appliances. Our customers are mostly retail dealers, service companies and parts stores.

The Seventies

J.W. Blevins bought the Nashville-based business of less than 1 million in sales volume in 1971 and began a branch expansion program. The first branch was opened in September, 1971 in Mobile, Alabama, followed by a second branch in Lexington, Kentucky in 1972.

Another branch opened in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1974. Situated in the center of the state, this site is able to serve most of Louisiana and eastern Texas.

Job Description

Customer Service Representative

Blevins, Inc., an established Wholesale Distributor, is seeking qualified candidate to fill a multi-task, Customer Service Representative position in our Lexington, KY branch office.   Positive attitude required!

 

Qualified applicants must have excellent customer service skills for this inside sales position.  Duties include calling an established customer base for product delivery, fielding inbound customer calls, and general office work. 

Basic PC skills, data entry skills, and good phone etiquette are needed.  Experience with warranty claims and telemarketing software a plus.

Monday – Friday, 8a-5p work week.
