Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Description
This is an outstanding opportunity for an individual with prior warehouse supervisory experience who is looking to manage a team of employees and who enjoys the high volume warehouse distribution setting. Candidates with experience at the Director level and above will not be a fit for this position. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Position Summary:
Responsible for conducting the daily activities of the office that supports the warehousing and distribution of customer orders. .
Job Functions And Accountabilities:
- Manages the printing of batches; facilitates paperwork to and from the warehouse floor, invoices orders in the system.
- Assists the Operations Manager in generating and maintaining all reporting for the facility including filing.
- Works with carriers to arrange pickups, track orders, arrange customer pickups, handle freight claims and manage the information in the PowerTrack system.
- Process the returns and assist the warehouse team in sorting which products can be put back into stock.
- Record distribution statistics for monthly reports.
- Finish and submit special projects in a timely manner.
- Identifies and resolves issues and escalates when necessary to a manager for a response.
- Works independently with limited supervision and handles multiple priorities.
Job Requirements
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience with UPS shipping program.
- High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.), may include specialized or vocational courses or General Studies.
- 1-2 years experience working in an office environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Windows, Word and Excel; and ability to perform administrative tasks.
- Possess strong problem solving and prioritization skills with great attention to detail;
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at once in an organized manner.
- Positive professional attitude; adept at working in both a team environment and as an individual contributor.
- Excellent time management skills and a strong sense of urgency.
