Duties:

The Recreation Counselor arranges weekend activities for clients with mental illness residing in Community Residence and Apartment programs.  Collaborates with staff and clients to schelule and coordinate group outings, culturally relevant activities and local recreational opportunities that extend and enrich services provided through regular program participation.

 

Provides transportation as needed. 

 

Work Schedule:
Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.  Completion of courses in Psychology a definite plus. 
  • Experience working with people with mental illness or other disabilities.
  • Clean driver's license and access to vehicle (May drive agency van or own vehicle to transport clients.  Mileage reimbursement for use of own vehicle.)
