Requirements
Automotive Technicians - Lead Service Technicain
Automotive Service Technician Qualifications:
National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in the eight automotive specialty areas (engine repair, engine performance, heating and air conditioning, electrical systems, automatic transmissions, manual transmission and axle, brakes and front end).
GM certified, or Acura experience a plus
Service technicians must keep abreast of the federal, state and local regulations
Must comply with these regulations as well as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA policies.
Education Requirements:
Most employers regard the successful completion of an automotive technology training program in a National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) certified high school or community college as the best preparation for service technicians.
Professional certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is preferred, or Master Tech accreditation.
This individual must have strong diagnostic ability, ADP, & computer background.
