Description
We are American Fast Freight, an Employee Owned, Ocean Freight Forwarder looking to expand our sales territory in the Eastern Region (New Jersey) of the United States. Our Corporate Headquarters is situated in the lush paradise of the Pacific Northwest, conveniently between Seattle and Tacoma. Terminals are strategically located in Alaska, Washington, California and Hawaii, to maximize our efficiency and ability to deliver freight.

Requirements
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Outside sales in an assigned territory which consists of making in-person sales calls on existing and potential accounts.
- Preplan activities to make optimum use of time.
- Prepare, compile and input rate quote and rate proposal requests.
- Travel is a requirement depending upon assigned territory.
- Comply with all aspects of sales reporting which are encompassed in the company SMART Sales System.
- Generate and answer sales leads.
- Attend weekly sales meetings.
- Customer entertainment after normal business hours and or on weekends as warranted.
- Manage sales related expenses within budgetary guidelines.
- Accurate, timely, meaningful communication inside and outside the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of three years sales experience with proven success in either inside or outside sales, preferably within the Domestic Off-Shore Market in the LTL/LCL sector.
- Sales territory management skills with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer skills.
