Diamond Chain is an industrial chain manufacturing company located in Indianapolis, Indiana with a warehouse in Dallas, Texas.  We are presently looking for a Customer Service Representative for the Dallas, TX warehouse.  We are the industry leader in North America and we are expanding our efforts in Europe and Asia for continued growth.  Our company is an entity within a $3 billion global industrial manufacturing company, which is wholly employee owned.

 

Job Description of Customer Service Representative

 

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring:   the expedient, accurate and timely entries of all sales orders to meet the delivery demands of our customers and the company sales team members; a high level of customer support; and a rapid response time to our internal and external customers.

 

The essential job functions include:

 

  • Answer phones to respond to orders, general customer inquiries, invoice questions, and customer complaints. Project a professional company image through phone interaction
  • Evaluate sales orders that are in the “New" status and are scheduled for shipment on a daily basis
  • Ensure that the applicable orders are processed, printed, and acknowledged to the customers
  • Follow up on customer’s requests for expedited delivery where possible
  • Assure blanket orders are shipped by scheduled date
  • Provide appropriate pricing when requested
  • Provide customers with product and service information
  • Follow-up on customer inquires not immediately resolved
  • Research billing issues

  • Qualified candidates will possess a B.S. degree Industrial Distribution or related field with previous experience in sales or customer service preferred.
