General Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for providing day-to-day legal support to an assigned functional area.

Essential Responsibilities
Provides information and recommendations on moderately complex legal issues within an assigned functional area. Coordinates with senior management to ensure compliance with all state and federal laws andregulations. Composes and reviews moderately complex legal documents (e.g., briefs, contracts, regulatory and compliance documents, license agreements). May represent the corporation in standard legal transactions. Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements include:
  • JD degree and active Bar certification required.
  • Previous (typically 2-6 years) experience in practicing law.
  • Prior experience in health care and/or managed care law. Knowledge of state and federal laws governing managed care compliance.
  • Experience with Federal Employee Health Plans preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
