Description
Akron area restaurant is seeking a Restaurant Manager with effective leadership skills and experience to manage front of the house operations. This person will be responsible for food and beverage costs, sales, gross profit margin, hiring and training staff, and managing labor.
Duties include working collaboratively with the kitchen, food preparation, dining room and banquet team to plan menus and related activities; oversee the cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities; ensures adherence to all health and safety regulations; investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints; assists in the development of marketing strategy, advertising, and promotional campaigns to increase business; maintains secure procedures in all financial transactions, assures that proper tip compliance is maintained; monitors budget to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations; responsible for hiring entertainment for special events and weekends.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience*
- Excellent communication skills
- Open availability for days, evenings and weekends
- Must be able to follow directions
- Must have a sense of urgency
- Computer skills required for Microsoft applications and various POS systems
