Market Development Manager- Corporate Sales is responsible for generating new business by employing solution-selling techniques to identify business needs for small to medium business or organizations located all over the world. The Market Development Manager (Corporate Sales) is responsible for the development of new business by qualifying leads that are self-generated and/or inbound leads from other marketing activities. MDM’s are responsible for presenting high quality product demonstrations of ExactTarget’s email marketing software, primarily via webex and over the phone. ExactTarget does not sell a product but provides our customers worldwide a solution to harness the power of one to one communications and achieve outstanding business results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the entire sales process, including prospecting, selling, negotiation, and closing.
· Responsible for sales forecasting, lead generation, and prospecting.
· Strategically manage call cycles and email campaigns.
· Expand and maintain territory business by working with accounts to meet and exceed annual sales objectives.
· Maintain superior relationships with contacts and decision-makers.
· Consistently maintain monthly sales quota and revenue goals.
· Maintain activity standards (number of sales calls, quantity of online demonstrations, time spent prospecting, account renewals, etc.)
· Responsible for maintaining sales activity in the salesforce.com database for reporting purposes.
