Our unique retail concept offers name brand merchandise at up to 1/2 department store prices every day. Our stores offer a fun, entertaining atmosphere with an emphasis on merchandise presentation and outstanding service. We currently have 66 stores in 16 Midwestern states.
Job Description
Within the retail systems/point of sale environment, the incumbent will have responsibilities to include: new development, maintenance of applications software, troubleshooting and on-call responsibilities, systems analysis, and documentation of programs.
This position reports to the Point of Sale Team Lead and has daily responsibility to support and manage the point of sale systems in the stores.
Task List
- Research and solve problems with store POS hardware and software on a daily basis
- Perform relevant oncall duties
- Maintain host POS servers located at corporate – trickle polling, enterprise refunds, CRM
- Gain working knowledge of relevant mainframe processes – sales processing, PARIS, sales audit
- Interface with users at corporate and store level to determine needed system upgrades and changes
- Install periodic software upgrades at stores
- Stays abreast of technical innovations relevant to organizational mission
- Perform additional duties as requested by management
- Attend meetings as required
- Prepare and review specifications detailing software changes for vendor
