Description

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties and responsibilities include the following other duties may be assigned:

 

In this route sales position, the Mobile Sales Manager is pre-scheduled to drive a 26' straight box truck to a customer’s premises and have his/her mobile unit “open for business" during the business day. 

Sales Responsibilities:

• Meet or exceed monthly and annual profit goals in footwear and accessories by maximize sales at each customer account using proper selling and customer relations skills, investigating customer footwear needs, having complete product knowledge, and applying proper procedures.
• Up-sell and/or cross-sell whenever possible. Offer additional merchandise – apparel, accessories, insoles, etc.
• Possess complete knowledge of products, including their features and benefits.
• Present products to customers and properly fit the customer.
• Develop professional relationship with on-site contact at every account.
• Handle customer complaints and returns promptly and courteously.
• Utilize marketing tools provide by the Company to optimize sales.

Operational Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for scanning inventory delivered to the storage facility and on and off the mobile unit. Perform periodic scans of inventory as requested.
• Maintain controllable expenses (i.e. stationary supplies, fuel, travel, telephone) within budget.
• Submit all required daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting and control of cash deposits, petty cash and finished good inventory.
• Assure proper security systems are in place and operating properly for the storage facility and mobile unit.
• Be at the customer location and “open for business" as scheduled.
• Record all sales transactions.
• Accurately record all transactions including: sales, returns, credits, etc.
• Maintain mobile unit inventory levels in accordance with policy.
• Assure proper maintenance of the mobile including: proper registration, preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assure mobile unit compliance with all motor vehicle laws including operating within Federal and State laws and Company safety requirements while observing safety procedures.
• Maintain an effective, productive working relationship with the District Sales Manager.
• Sell to and offer superior customer service to the customer and record all transactions including: sales invoices, customer returns, credits, etc.

Requirements Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

The successful candidate must be able to be DOT compliant.
