Take our Services division. It reflects our strategic emphasis on developing and growing our consumer Internet services as well as developing new enterprise solutions and software.
Nokia's services encompass five areas: Music, Games, Media, Social Location and Messaging. The Services division also encompasses several sub-units: People and Places, Services Platforms, Service Experience, and Strategy & New Business.
Services works closely with the marketing and sales functions to create maximum consumer awareness and top line growth of the services.
Responsibilities
Working within an Agile/Scrum development environment, establish collaborative relationships with Scrummasters, Product Owners, and Scrum team members to ensure success of Programs, Releases and Sprints.
Analyze Product Requirements and Functional Specifications and design/create and execute test cases/scenarios.
Identify and isolate defects, create accurate, concise and reproducible bug reports
Provide timely and informative test result updates to team. Provide resource/time estimates for all testing activities.
Requirements
Required Experience/Skills:
Overall, you must have strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills, as well as excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. The candidate must also be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced team environment, and adapt when priorities change.
Must have demonstrated proficiency working/testing in two or more of the following areas:
Enterprise applications (e.g. provisioning systems)
Web-based applications
API testing (e.g. WebServices)
Regression testing
Performance testing
End to End (System Wide) testing
Must have demonstrated proficiency with some of the following:
SQL querying/verifying data integrity
Relational databases (preferably Oracle)
XML technologies (XSLT, XPATH, XSD)
Scripting languages ( e.g. Python, PL/SQL or Javascript)
Unix/Linux environments
Test Automation using open source and/or industry standard tools
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required along with 2+ years QA experience or 5+ years experience working in an IT systems or software development position.
Pluses:
Experience in Agile/Scrum Product Development environment(s)
Experience in mobile industry (i.e. SMS/MMS, WAP, J2ME/BREW, etc) helpful
Experience with Unit test frameworks (e.g. JUnit/XMLUnit)
Experience with "Selenium" open source test automation tool
Knowledge of mobile and/or Internet advertising domain
Experience with the provisioning/management of environments/applications
